2014 AHCF Family Meeting – Minneapolis Minnesota!

The Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation Family Meeting will be held at the Hilton, Minneapolis/St Paul Airport, Mall of America www.mspairport.hilton.com  The meeting will take place June 26th – 28th.

This year for the first time, the AHCF is asking for a “recommended donation” or registration fee to attend the conference. It will help offset the increased cost associated with putting on the event, including the cost of speakers, conference materials, audiovisual and more.

There will be over 21 experts coming to the meeting to share their insights on AHC and it also includes a group luncheon and ice cream social.

Dr Swoboda and the Pediatric Motor Disorders Research Clinic team will be conducting AHC clinical appointments Tuesday June 24th, Wednesday the 25th and the morning of Thursday the 26th.  Accompanied by her expert medical team this includes DNA collection and inclusion in the AHCF Clinical Registry, Genetics Counseling, History and Physical or update of previous H & P, Physical Therapy Assessment, Physiatry appointment including Quality of Life Scales, Neuro Psyche Evaluation and a Private Session devoted to a patient question and answer period with one of the AHC experts on the team. There is no cost to the families for this.
