Important News for the πππ Community
The first international training course entirely dedicated to Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) and disorders caused by mutations in the ATP1A3 gene will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026 (Genoa-Italy) This event is organized and funded by A.I.S.EA ETS (the Italian AHC Association) in collaboration with the child neuropsychiatrists and researchers of the IRCCS βGiannina Gasliniβ, an internationally renowned pediatric center of excellence and national referral center for AHC, and with the organizational support of Gaslini Academy, the Instituteβs international department for education and training.Director of the Course is Pr. Elisa De Grandis, a leading expert in the field.
The course program aims to provide participants with an update on the multidisciplinary management, diagnosis, and latest scientific research on complex ATP1A3-related disorders caused by the malfunctioning of the sodium-potassium pump, with a specific focus on AHC.Read the article for more details
